Cookie Policy

Last updated: May 7, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains the cookies used on the C-LCA website (c-lca.app), their purposes, and how you can manage your preferences.

1. What is a Cookie?

A cookie is a small text file sent to your browser and stored on your device when you visit a website. Cookies are used to remember session information, measure site performance, and improve user experience.

2. Which Cookies Do We Use?

The C-LCA website uses two types of cookies: (1) Strictly necessary cookies — required for site functionality (session, language preference, theme), no consent needed. (2) Analytics cookies — to measure site usage (Google Analytics 4), subject to your explicit consent.

3. Strictly Necessary Cookies

Strictly necessary cookies are essential for the basic functionality of the site and cannot be disabled. Examples: clca_session (user session), clca_locale (language preference), clca_cookie_consent (cookie preference record). These cookies do not collect personal data and are not shared with third parties.

4. Analytics Cookies (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand website traffic and user behaviour. GA4 collects: pages visited, session duration, device/browser information, and (anonymous) geographic location. The IP address is anonymised (anonymize_ip enabled). These cookies are loaded only with your explicit consent.

5. Third-Party Cookies

Google Analytics cookies are managed by Google LLC. Data processing is subject to Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. Data may be transferred outside the European Union. Other third-party cookies (advertising, social media) are not used.

6. Managing Your Cookie Preferences

You can set your preferences from the cookie banner shown on your first visit. "Accept all" enables all cookies; "Essential only" disables analytics cookies. Your preference is stored in browser local storage so we do not ask again on return visits. To reset your preference, clear the site data in your browser.

7. Browser Settings

You can block or delete all cookies from your browser settings. However, disabling strictly necessary cookies may break certain features (login, language preference). Browser-specific instructions are available in the Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge documentation.

8. Policy Updates

This Cookie Policy is updated whenever the cookies we use change. Material changes are announced via the banner and require renewed consent.
